"Half the world hungry, half closing his eyes"

Every month, hundreds of families receive a basket of food (fruits and vegetables, meat and dry products). The names of the families come to the association from the welfare offices of the Haifa Municipality. The distribution of parcels is done while maintaining the dignity and privacy of the recipient.

In addition to the regular distribution, for the Tishrei and Passover holidays there are very large food distributions for other needy people, with the aim of helping them celebrate the holidays with dignity and joy.

Recipients of food parcels are many seniors who are in financial and mental distress due to their loneliness. Many of them are Holocaust survivors. Receiving the package from the hands of volunteers provides them with a great feeling of excitement and confidence.

The entire distribution process – from the sorting, packaging and distribution stages, is done by volunteers, regular or one-time.
Most of the food products are purchased by the association independently and some of them are donated by companies, organizations such as Give and Collect Israel, food chains or various collection operations.
